Game Over for PlayStation 2 in Japan
The PS2 is ending an era where it all began 13 years ago. An announcement from Sony confirmed the end of production of the PlayStation 2 in Japan, but made no mention of production shutdowns elsewhere.
Since its debut, the PS2 went on to achieve 155.1 million sales and earned the title of the most popular video game console of all time.
